Oriental Medicine offers many tools to help maintain your health and well being. In addition to acupuncture, there is herbal medicine, diet, exercise, cupping, gua-sha and moxibustion.

The ear is seen as a hologram of the whole body and contains over 100 acupuncture points. Points are selected in each ear and are left in for 20 minutes. The purpose of treatment is to decrease stress, anxiety, depression, and pain while at the same time promoting energy, immunity, digestion, and better sleep. This is often used for stress and/or addiction. Ear "beads" will be placed on the same points at the end of treatment and can remain in the ears for up to a week. These will allow you to use acupressure to elicit the same effects as the needles in between treatments.

Individually tailored formulas are derived from plant, animal and mineral sources. When prescribed correctly, major advantages of herbal medicine are that they are not habit forming and they actually improve the functions of the organs while ridding the body of disease without complicating side effects. Formulas come in the forms of teas, tinctures, pills and granules.

An extremely relaxing ancient modality that uses a small flame to create a vacuum inside a glass cup which is then placed on the skin. It brings warmth to the area and increases blood circulation. It is used to treat muscle pain/strain and respiratory conditions. Often the suction causes red marks to appear, but this is normal and will soon fade in a day or two.
Please be respectful of the time set aside for your treatment. If you need to change or cancel an appointment, be sure to make up the missed appointment within a week so the effects from treatment will not be interrupted.
All scheduled appointments require a 24 hour cancellation notice or the patient will be charged a FULL office visit fee.
